Cambridgeshire, England. Forged iron 5” height with ridged base thick sharply hooked blade and forged seam tubular socket for a wood handle. Excavated and professionally conserved. Every Viking home had a house garden for herbs and vegetables. Sickles such as this were used to maintain and harvest those gardens. The Frostathing Law, one of Norway’s oldest law states, "If one man goes in another man's onion garden or angelica garden, then he is lawless."
